Manufacturing Manager/General Manager
(Large Scale Electromechanical Equipment Manufacturing)

The Manufacturing ManagerOperations is a critical local leadership position. Operating as the “local CEO,” the General Manager has a hands-on role. The position is directly responsible for ensuring the site’s financial performance and accountable for directing and overseeing the activities of the Manufacturing, Engineering, Technical Support, Projects, and Finance functions on site.

You will be expected to drive a “customer first” focus through the entire team, inspire and provide support to the team, and demonstrate your knowledge by coaching and developing our people’s capability and leading a high-performance culture while ensuring behavior is consistent with our values and culture and will report to the Chief Manufacturing Officer in Australia.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Management or related field.
  • At least five plus years as a Manufacturing/Operations Manager experience required.
  • Planning, forecasting and budgeting – oversee these processes, schedule activities to ensure timely completion
  • Manage and give direction, oversee processes, create development plans
  • Decision Support – Provide analysis supporting investment decisions including vertical integration, capital expenditures, manufacturing site selection, and value improvement project prioritization
  • Manufacturing experience is defined buy a mix of hands-on technical skills and an understanding of production process
  • Soft skills and business knowledge are integral components of valuable manufacturing experience
  • Deep Understanding Knowledge of MRP Systems – D365 is advantageous
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Financial modelling skills
  • Communicate with all related functions for production supports and establish effective building skills a strong plus
  • Monitor the cost and effectiveness of daily production activities
  • Communicate with all related functions for production supports and establish effective communication channel with employees
  • Research, evaluate, recommend and implement investments in technology, equipment or systems that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities in order to optimize production, improve efficiency and reduce conversion cost

Base Pay

Depending on experience, base pay will be $130K to $160K.
