Our client is a frozen appetizer and specialty potato product manufacturer offering a range of tasty finger foods which include twice baked potatoes, potato skins, battered and breaded wedges, fried and filled skins, breakfast bites, extruded products, cheese sticks and other assorted batter and breaded vegetables.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager

  • Responsible for Supervising the overall maintenance and repair of all plant equipment
  • Manage and lead training and development of all Maintenance employees including Electrical Supervisor and Proc/Pkg Supervisor and 11 Mechanics.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance program and schedules to ensure critical equipment and machinery are properly maintained.
  • Prepare and manage the department budget while monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with the budget process.
  • Comply with the company HACCP plans, GMP’s and pre-requisite programs.
  • Assist the SQF Practitioner and Quality Manager with third-party audits.
  • Maintain inventory system of all critical parts and supplies to ensure minimum and maximum quantities are on hand.
  • Establish routine, open two-way communication with Production Supervisors and Managers to obtain feedback on equipment and machinery performance.
  • Offer recommendations and make changes to improve plant operations with respect to quality, efficiency, safety and sanitation.
  • Confers with equipment and other manufacturers to recommend improvement in materials or reduced costs.
  • Ensure programs and practices for waste water discharge, permitting, regulatory compliance and ammonia safety programs are effective.
  • Monitors and evaluates all inspections, including safety and sanitation for accuracy and implements corrective action.
  • Responsible for maintaining lock-out/tag-out procedures, MSDS records, safety committee meetings, Maintenance records, etc.
  • Responsible for conducting the plant-wide safety audit program to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must have the desire to lead the team and company to the next level of Food Safety, quality and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years in a Maintenance Environment
  • 3+ years supervisory or management experience
  • Experience in frozen potato or appetizer industry is a plus

  • Good mechanical understanding of equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Must relocate to the area
  • Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional ascending and/or descending of ladders and stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms on a regular basis
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances on a regular basis
  • Stooping, kneeling, reaching, crouching, pushing and pulling on a regular basis
  • Lifting: Able to lift 50lbs
  • Subject to up to at least 92db’s

Full-time, generally Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours can be flexed to support business

needs during off-hours or weekends.

Salary: $90K- $110K base plus 10% bonus per year, excellent benefits, relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
