(The National Account Manager is a hybrid position, West Coast preferred, competitive compensation, base plus bonus)

Our client is a frozen appetizer and specialty potato product manufacturer offering a range of tasty finger foods which include twice baked potatoes, potato skins, battered and breaded wedges, fried and filled skins, breakfast bites, extruded products, cheese sticks and other assorted batter and breaded vegetables.

Responsibilities of the National Account Manager

  • Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key customers within specific foodservice markets
  • Work directly with customers to offer valuable solutions, by implementation of sales strategies resulting in increased product knowledge and sales growth
  • Manage all customer initiatives and needs
  • Manage and motivate the current broker network
  • Full responsibility for accurate and timely submitting of all bids
  • Maintain and further develop relationships to achieve business objectives
  • Achieve sales plan through volume growth plans, managing customers, marketing programs, expenses, deduction resolution (as needed), category management, and business reviews with customers
  • Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to, creation and execution against a list of assigned customers, develop new customers, maintain and track progress, ensure customer sales support for customer events, meetings/presentations, and product sampling
  • Responsibilities may evolve to include Industrial Ingredient sales

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in Food Service or Distributor Sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution-oriented and skilled in strategic thinking, negotiation, motivational leadership, and conflict resolution
  • Standard computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Located in the Boise, ID area but will consider a qualified remote candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Travel: 50%
