 Primary Purpose of the Procurement Coordinator

The Procurement Manager, Food Manufacturing tracks and administers purchase orders, bills of lading, and supplier claims for raw material purchases. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties and responsibilities are essential to achieve the primary purpose.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the accurate entry, proofing, maintenance and submission of purchase orders based on customer demand, stock replenishment and management direction for fresh and frozen requirements.
  2. Ensure information flow through NAV (RFP) is accurate and up to date.
  3. Maintain and communicate variances/delays with shipments.
  4. Responsible for assisting in the management of new vendor creation and collection of required documents.
  5. Review, file and maintain point-of-origin shipping documentation as necessary.
  6. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement reports.
  7. Assist Procurement Team with any administrative functions as needed.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Non-essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned to achieve the primary purpose or other purposes as determined by the company.  Such non-essential duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Administration support to other departments as required.
  2. Data analysis on procurement activities 

Minimum Qualifications

These are the minimum qualifications required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Manager acceptably:

  1. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field such as Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  2. Advanced experience with Excel including macros, formulas, pivot tables and vlookup
  3. Familiarity with ERP systems
  4. Familiarity with basic algebra and statistics
