The Head of Operations, Food Manufacturing will provide leadership and direction to the Plant in all areas.

(Frozen Food, Twin Falls, ID area, Onsite, Relocation Assistance) Reports directly to the CEO

Responsibilities of the Head of Operations:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the plant in all areas: Administration, Receiving,
    Production, Packaging, Maintenance, Warehousing, Shipping, Purchasing, Safety, and
    Environmental.
  • Direct overall activities of the plant to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled,
    produced, and shipped at the lowest possible cost to meet customer requirements
    while maintaining corporate quality standards.
  • Service: Ensure customer orders are produced and shipped on time and in full, as per
    our corporate service target levels
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze plant operations to maintain industry
    competitiveness and take advantage of new processes and technology as applicable.
  • Cost: Control expenses, including labor, raw material shrink and waste, and indirect
    costs associated with plant operation.
  • Develop and execute KPIs to improve safety, quality, and production deliverables to
    reduce COGS and drive efficiency.
  • Develop and manage plant capital budget/ROI and lead the plant capital projects
    ongoing.
  • Manage plant safety program, including training, compliance reporting, and recognition.
  • Support and review SQF internal audits for compliance with corporate, customer, and
    government standards. Continuously improve performance and adherence to all SQF
    requirements.
  • Manage food security program, assess and eliminate risks to adulteration of raw
    materials, finished goods, plant property, and resources.
  • Conduct audits for compliance with corporate, customer, and government standards.
    Continuously improve performance and adherence to all requirements.
  • Maintain staffing levels, performance evaluation system, progressive discipline, and new
    hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Develop and coach Production Managers, provide leadership and educational
    opportunities, and provide qualified candidates for succession planning.
  • Support and encourage the support of our Corporate Mission Statement, Vision, and
    Values to facilitate the achievement of our company goals.

Training, Credentials, Certificates

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of successful management experience in a food production or
    manufacturing role.
  • Quality experience, including but not limited to HACCP, compliance auditing, GMPs,
    Plant Sanitation Schedule, and SQF.
  • Plant safety experience includes but is not limited to ergonomics, hazardous materials,
    accident and compliance reporting, and training.

Competitive Compensation Package

  • Base target range $145,000 – $180,000 (depending on experience)
  • 15% bonus potential
